Al Baraka Bank's Initiatives for Mandela Day 2024

Durban, 18 July 2024 - Mandela Day, an annual global celebration, honours the life and legacy of Nelson Mandela. On this day, individuals, communities, and organizations are called to reflect on Mandela's values and principles and to make a positive impact within their own communities. This year, Al Baraka Bank proudly joined hands with local communities to make a meaningful difference.

Al Baraka Bank committed a total budget of R75,000 towards various initiatives across South Africa, focusing on uplifting and supporting those in need, particularly children. Our initiatives included:

• Durban: Partnering with Orient Old Boys to provide much-needed bedding and furniture to Wylie House, a child and youth care
• Johannesburg: Collaborating with IHSAN Holistic School for Alternative Needs to provide equipment to set up a new therapy centre to support children with physical
• Cape Town: Working with Gift of the Givers to provide essential equipment to Athlone School for the
